Reversa Skincare Review

2019 skincare is trending back to basics with a more simplified approach to product lines including ingredients offering multipurpose benefits. From serum to face masks, everyone is down to achieving that healthy looking glow with as few steps as possible.

I’m not a skincare expert, but I am more aware now of what is good for my skin. I am always in search for “clean” beauty products as much as I can as it is very important that my skin will not only look good, but also feel good using the products that are safe and free from any harmful chemicals.

The latest one I’ve discovered is the line from Reversa. A Canadian brand offering dermatologically tested products which are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. I started using their stuff and this is what found after the first 30 days.

Micellar Solution

Micellar Solution

I have always been a fan of double cleansing method especially when I put makeup on. Some women use oil, but I much preferred to use this Micellar water to breakdown all the products that would clog my pores. I love the pump dispenser.  The solution is so gentle, I also used it to get rid of the excess oil in my t-zone area even before I wore my makeup and it didn’t irritate my skin at all.

3-in-1 Mild Gel Cleanser

3-in-1 Mild Gel Cleanser

This is one of the must have products as part of your basic skincare routine. I was so impressed with how this acts as a makeup remover, cleanser, and moisturizer all in one. It is Hypoallergenic so if you have sensitive skin like I do, this one is perfect for you too. It’s not harsh, leaving your skin smooth and fresh.

Anti-Spot Serum

Anti-Spot Serum

Can we all take a moment of silence to thank the Serum gods? If you want to step up your skincare game, you should start to incorporate this serum to your routine. It penetrates deeper to deliver active ingredients into your skin. I used this every morning after my facial wash and it instantly brightened my skin. There’s only a subtle vinegary scent which I didn’t mind, but I would have preferred a more powdery scent! I did not see any real difference in my skin’s hyperpigmentation, but it’s definitely hydrating, and gave new life to my dry skin.

Radiance Cream SPF 30

Radiance Cream SPF 30

I used to ignore all day creams just because I found them all to be so heavy on my skin. One of the things that I love about this one from Reversa is its non-greasy formula. It gives me so much more moisture while still allowing my pores to breathe. I added this cream right after the serum. It was like a top coat to seal the deal. It evened out my skin tone while offering sun protection against the UVA/UVB rays. Yassss!

Corrective Night Cream

Corrective Night Cream

Night cream plays an essential role in the quality of your skin. Sleeping is healing for your body, and your skin is no different. This night cream is meant to boost collagen in the skin and restore its elasticity. Unfortunately, I broke out after using it 2 nights in a row. I’m not sure if it’s the weather or it might be too concentrated for my sensitive skin. I am going to give it another shot after few weeks of spring weather and hopefully it’ll give me a better result.

I’m keeping Reversa in my skin care line-up. I’m so happy to see local Canadian brands coming out with far better alternatives that are so much healthier for your skin than the mass-produced corporate ones that have previously lined the neighbourhood drug store aisles.
