My Top MAC Red Lipsticks

If you’re a beauty lover as much as I am, I’m sure there’s at least one or two “bullets” inside your makeup bag. MAC is definitely one of my all-time favourite make-up brands for so many reasons. Not only are they world class, but the unmistakable black packaging is so cool. I love the signature vanilla scent and all the shades of their lipstick!

I got my hands on some of their top selling lipsticks. If you have been following me on Instagram, then you’ve seen me wearing different shades of red this season. They are all matte with a creamy formula and high colour payoff.

Chili

Brownish Orange-Red

No doubt this is MAC’s best selling lipstick. It’s vibrant - without being too loud. It is suitable for a daytime look and looks gorgeous on women with a warm skin tone. So if you’re a newbie in the red lipstick game, you can easily start with this shade. The only drawback is that it can make your teeth appear slightly yellowish due to its undertones, but other than that, this is a head turner that you need to have.

Russian Red

Intense Blueish Red

This was my very first MAC lipstick and will always be one of my holy-grails. For me, this is the universal red lipstick. It’s iconic shade has always been a cult favourite for professional make-up artists and stylish women alike. Perfect for dinner dates with your special someone. This has a vintage vibe and would still look stunning regardless of your complexion. Fun Fact - Madonna wore this lipstick shade during her 1990 Blonde Ambition tour.

ruby woo

Vivid Red Blue

Sexy with cool blue undertones. I always get so many compliments whenever I wear this and that’s why it remained as my go-to red lipstick regardless of the season. It’s such a fun shade and super wearable regardless of the occasion. You can wear this at work even with a minimal make-up look or even when it’s your first time meeting your boyfriend’s family! It looks amazing on every skin tone, even Rihanna made her own limited edition called “Riri Woo." This is my ride or die shade.

Diva

Intense Reddish Burgundy

If you’re feeling a little more dramatic but don’t want to veer into “vampy,” then this shade is made for the diva in you. This colour really gives me major 90’s nostalgia. I prefer to wear it for a girl’s night out, but if you want you wear it to power up during your day, then do you girl!
