Hi everyone!

I'm very excited to share with you my first blog.  So last month, I received my first BoxyCharm! Some of you already know what BoxyCharm is, but for some who haven’t heard about it yet, I can give you the details.

So what is BoxyCharm? It is a monthly beauty subscription service that costs $21 per month with a retail value of over $100. In each box, you will receive 4 to 5 full-size beauty items from popular brands. From makeup and skincare, to beauty tools and cosmetics.

You have different options to choose from when you subscribe to BoxyCharm. I’ve prepaid for a 3 month subscription that costs only $19.66 per month. Upon subscribing, you automatically have a chance to win products from BoxyCharm giveaways, earn charms when you review a product which are redeemable in their Charm shop and exclusive members-only offers from the best beauty brands.

Inside my July BoxyCharm was the following:

Out of all the items in the box, this is definitely my favorite. This palette comes in 4 shimmer shades and 6 matte shades. I love how pigmented each eyeshadow is and the warm colors are just perfect for summer and fall. There’s just a little fallout but who cares? All shades are very wearable as you can easily transition from day look using the lighter ones, to night by adding the darker shades to make your eyes look smokey. I’ve swatched each color showing how it looks like with and without a flash.

I’ve also created a simple summer make up look using the Fuego palette on my eyes.

I love peachy/coral blush as it looks more natural especially for women with warm undertones like I have. It is very pigmented so make sure to tap your brush before blending as it can leave a harsh look. I would definitely recommend this blush if you want a dupe for MAC Melba. Plus, this product is paraben free and has an argan oil infused formula so thumbs up for that!

I never thought mascara tubes could work so well. You just have to squeeze the tube if you want to add more on the spoolie without pumping it. This mascara gives volume and lengthens my lashes. I love that it doesn’t smudge and can be easily removed by makeup wipes.

I’m not really sure if this is a cream or a powder as it felt really dry upon application. I tried to use the applicator brush, but it didn’t work for me. Honestly, I didn’t like it as much as using an eyebrow pencil because I feel like I have more control defining the shape of my brows.

I’ve heard so many good reviews about Dr. Brandt that’s why I’m very excited when I saw this product. I tried it a few times already, but didn’t notice a difference on my undereye. It felt tacky and has a cooling effect, maybe that’s the product making its magic! Once I layered it with foundation and concealer, I noticed that my undereye looked patchy, cakey and dry. Not flattering at all. I still gave it another chance, using a different foundation and concealer but the result was just the same. I don’t think I will use it again as part of my makeup routine, but on it’s own as brightening cream, it helped with those dark circles we all get sometimes!

Overall Value: $134

My thoughts on BoxyCharm? I love it! I love trying new products. It’s just a great way to introduce every makeup and skincare lover to new products without having to make a huge investment. It feels like a surprise gift every month because you don’t know exactly what you’re getting until you receive and open the box. Although I didn’t like everything inside July 2018 box, it gave me an idea of what other products or brands I should try next time.
